ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In my work, I very often move from the abstract to the concrete. In this case, they intersect. The picture was created for a long time. The shape and position of the figure changed, I layered the colors. More than a concrete form, I was interested in capturing the inner feeling that I still conceptualize when looking at the painting. I enjoy a certain indeterminacy of shapes, which perhaps stems from an inner creative insecurity, which I am not ashamed to admit. (Ve své tvorbě se velmi často pohybuji od abstraktního ke konkrétnímu. V tomto případě dochází k jejich protnutí. Obraz vznikal dlouhou dobu. Proměňovala se podoba i poloha postavy, vrstvil jsem barvy. Více než o konkrétní podobu mi šlo o zachycení vnitřního pocitu, který si při dívání se na obraz stále pojemnovávám. Baví mě jistá neurčitost tvarů, která možná vyvěrá i z vnitřní tvůrčí nejistoty, kterou se nestydím přiznávat.)

I love painting and drawing. Started as an autodidact I drew things and people around me and - due to my university studies of botany - flowers and trees. After university studies I was attending evening classes of drawing, painting and sculpturing in one art school in Brno. An important step towards my own independent work was the acquisition of a studio in the former Vlněna factory in Brno. My work has undergone many phases in the last few years and I still cannot say that it has settled in a style. The reason behind this is that I try to submit the form to momentary feelings, attitudes and perceptions of the external world as well as of my own internal one. As a matter of fact, I do not even want to stay in a little box of a style since I enjoy finding new expressions for my artistic work. In 2017 I co-founded KVARK atelier dusetvorby z.s. - an NGO which helps artists with mental illness.
