ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an original watercolor artwork called "Øyeblikk", it means "This moment" in English. I captured one of the impressions I got from Achillea millefolium plants growing along the coast of the Oslo fjord, Norway. Semiabstract vision of a natural calming composition. In my art I am searching the freedom to see the hidden nature sides. I love imperfections of objects I paint; it is pure inspiration to me to see it and understand its beauty. I am a big dreamer, and my visual language is also, kind of atmospheric and dreamy romantical. I love to make focus on the light and shadows, create calming, slow and delicate atmosphere around objects I am painting. Through art composition I find presence of harmony, an airiness of space, a contrast of living lines, a sensuality of color spot. I love to keep it natural. I use watercolor, it is a flowing, alive medium that allows to create an illusion of natural movement and transparency at the same time. My artwork is about to capturing unique moments of life by own impression and show those to the world through artwork. I invite the viewer to see more and deeper, extend the time with slow contemplation, escape from every day, and enjoy this beautiful world of relaxation. Artwork is painted on artist Fabriano paper, 300g ,cold pressed, 25% cotton. Signed by me on the front side. Details about painting on the backside. Artwork is unframed and has 1 cm white boards.
