I was strolling through Madrid, Spain, when I stopped to observe the balconies of this building. Their arrangement seemed to me to fit perfectly into a square-shaped image. The point where I was, to photograph them, was quite favorable, perpendicular to the building and at an appropriate height. The result seemed charming to me.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
