1929 Moon Rover Photograph

Image originated in 2015 after I came across a large vintage dump truck in South Houston at a clearing for a new development. I shot several images onto film using my Nikon with a 20mm lens. The frame selected was my favorite. The b/w film was developed in my darkroom. The negative was then scanned and imported into Photoshop. I experimented using different filters until I came across one that created extreme contrast with a pitch black darkened background. My first thought was that the image looked like the surface of the moon captured during one of NASA's lunar landings, which got my creative juices flowing. After extending the sky for a square print format I imported an iconic image of the earth shot from space. I titled the print "1929 Moon Rover" because of the vintage look of the dump truck. It was printed on fine art photo paper with an Epson SureColor P800 for the best quality and archival life. This is a 12" x 12" reprint for sale ready for matting and framing by the purchaser. Shipped in a mailing tube.
