About The Artwork

This image is one of a series of 500+ photographs documenting ephemeral artwork created using only what is found on the ground and in the moment, left behind for others to experience. By using familiar objects in unfamiliar ways, it is my hope that the viewer is prompted to slow down and look at their world a little more carefully.

Artist / Maker - I am a full time working visual artist who works across a variety of mediums in 2D and 3D art. Currently my practice is focused on photographing the ephemeral artworks I make on an almost daily basis, whilst on a walk, of which there are currently 500+ images to the series, 365 of them being completed consecutively. This series has been created regardless of weather, circumstance or where I find myself in the world. They have been created not only in my local area but up and down the east coast of Australia, the far north west of NSW, Shanghai and San Francisco. These works are made using no tools and only what is found in the moment and on the ground, I do not use living plants. These works are left behind for others to experience (unless made of plastic) as a prompt to slow down and look at their world a little more carefully.
