A walk in the waves... Panel I
One of a pair that work separately or as a Diptych. Also available on ChromaLuxe metal (see other listing)
Extra large abstract in the wonderful colours of the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, far far away from the Madding Crowd. Harris is famous for the teal blue water that flows around the south end of the island.
Standing in this peaceful place, early in the morning, with the water lapping over my boots (yes boots, this was the Atlantic in October after all!) I was transfixed by the way the light plays on the water and the turquoise reflections on the wet sand echo the colours in the sky. All together these colours flow and ebb just like the sea.
About My Work
I am obsessed with luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special large prints of my work I use beautiful museum quality Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.
About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use.
I am happy to take custom orders, just drop me a line.
A Note on Canvases
Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They are matte varnished and come with 1.5 inch (4cm) white at the sides (please let me know at ordering if you prefer a different colour on the sides or if you want a gallery wrap). Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.
