ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My "A World of Color" series focuses on urban and small town scenes that feature color, ranging from the bold to the subtle. For this capture, which highlights a scene taken in New York City's Central Park, I used a special filter that emphasizes amber tones while still subtly retaining a range of colors. I believe it gives the composition a warm, painterly look. The iconic Gapstow stone bridge is featured in the photo. Printed on professional archival photo paper and including a signed certificate of authenticity.

What I love about photography is that it enables me to paint with light. Cityscapes and landscapes, particularly using low light and long exposure techniques, are my special focus. My work has been included in the Saatchi ARTPARIS exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris and I have shown in venues in Pennsylvania and New York City. The latter shows include "The Haunted Gallery" (Chashama Gallery), "Points of View"(1199SEIU Gallery), "Imagine" (The Cell Gallery), the historic Salmagundi Art Club's Photography and Graphics exhibition, and Long Island Photo Gallery's "Street Life" exhibition. Additionally, my photo "Urban Nature NY" is featured as cover art on the book, "Still the Same Hawk: Reflections on Nature and New York" (Fordham Press). I have twice won the first place prize in the Canon "Imagine" magazine "Take Your Best Shot" contest. Most recently, my photo story, "The Only Way is Up," is featured in Nikon's "N-Photo" Magazine.
