Art Description

Photography: Color, Ink, giclee on Canvas.

A day at the beach....
Remember those sun kissed days when you lay at the beach and just listened to the waves lap gently across the sand? When the sun lit up the sand and the whole landscape glowed? With eyes half closed you can just imagine yourself there, lying on warm sand with teal water in the distance.

I am in a very romantic escapist mood at the moment, creating images to take me away from reality to a place in a distant memory. This is a photograph of the beach at Seilebost on the Isle of Harris in the far north of Scotland. Very few people live here and it is often cut off from the mainland in the Winter months. It is a place in my mind I go to when I want to forget the present troubles and de stress.

Soft textures with teal, baby blue and soft warm sandy tones.

Printed on dreamy soft textured canvas using museum quality materials right here in my studio.

If you prefer this on fine art paper just get in touch. As I print these myself I can also print bespoke sizes.

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly which also makes them pretty special, they purchase paper pulp for their materials only from forests managed in a sustainable way.

Signed in the bottom right hand corner and provided with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Your beautiful art will be carefully packaged in a sturdy art tube.
