About The Artwork
I was standing in a private home in Silverlake, CA, USA, watching the view and a glimpse of the sunset. Grabbed my iPhone to take a picture, but as I am took several shots, my iPhone fell out of my hand while I pushed the button to take a picture. Of the 10 or so photos I took of this instant, the accidental one was by far the most interesting. It invites to dream, to imagine, to be playful. It might make you think of free fall, flying, spinning, being upside down. The light is really special and the flow, very brushstroke-like. It turned out to be perfect as a square piece, the squareness accentuating the circle of the movement. I hope the viewer can get lost in this image, he/she will feel like a cloud entered his/her home. The kind of cloud one wants to sit on and float into space, into eternity. It is a dye sublimation print on aluminum.
