ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"After Spring Rain" is a fine art photography print by Inna Etuvgi, alias My Psychedelic Garden. This striking photograph captures the delicate aftermath of a rain shower on the vibrant petals of an iris, transforming a simple moment into a captivating, dream-like landscape that seems to belong to an ethereal realm   Part of the “Wonderland Under Our Feet” series, this artwork invites the viewer to journey into the hidden worlds that dwell within the ordinary. The big raindrop on the iris flower is portrayed not just as water but as a prism with the mesmerising patterns inside that hint at the unseen inner spaces of nature. This collection celebrates the extraordinary hidden within the mundane, urging us to look closer and rediscover the magic and beauty in our everyday surroundings PRINT: Gicleè print on Canson Fine Art paper + COA image size 39x48.5cm limited edition of 25 The print is signed, numbered, and printed by the author AUTHOR: Inna Etuvgi, hailing from Russia's Arctic shores, brings her technical background to light as a Swedish art photographer. Her artistic journey began in 2020, and in 2022, she gained recognition as a finalist in the Arte Laguna Prize 16. In 2023, she received an honour from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee. Etuvgi’s works are featured in “Photography in the Visual Culture” 22/23 book Navigating life with Aphantasia, Inna's mind doesn't visualise, but it pulsates with vivid concepts, emotions, and sensations. She uses her camera not merely to explore the world but to externalise her unique mental landscapes, making them visible Art critic Tabish Khan says about Inna’s art: “her work is about transporting us to other worlds - both real and imaginary, but always in harmony with nature. She may have a mind blind to visualisation, but she has eyes and a camera that capture the beauty in the worlds that the rest of us often overlook and take for granted”

My work is a response to the delicate balance of life that I learned to respect growing up in the Arctic, where survival depends on the smallest signs of nature. Through macro photography, I magnify the hidden beauty of mosses, lichens, and dewdrops—overlooked organisms that play an essential role in maintaining ecosystems—challenging the human-centered worldview. With Aphantasia, my inability to visualize images internally, nature becomes my external mirror, reflecting my inner landscapes, coloured with emotions and sensations. This intimate dialogue with nature drives my creative process. By incorporating AI and generative digital art, I extend this exploration, blending the organic with the technological, to examine how humans fit into both natural and social systems. Ultimately, my art serves as a reminder of the fragile interconnectedness of all life. As we push forward into an increasingly technology-driven future, my work encourages viewers to pause, reconsider their place in the world, and embrace a more mindful and compassionate relationship with nature.
