ABOUT THE ARTWORK

That photo is part of a body of work called 'Punto di Fuga'. It has been realized in 2014 as an artist residency of one month in Aliano, a town of Basilicata in Italy where Carlo Levi, an Italian writer, doctor and antifascist was confined in 1935. My work is based on the relations between space and human being, identity and landscape and I would like to give back to the viewer a vibrance of the places and so a taste of the humanity that made it looking the way it looks. I only shoot with film camera, medium or large format and very often in color. The film just makes me feeling I am doing something actual, impressed on a thin but solid material with all its craft feelings. The print will be a numbered limited edition of 11 on Hahnemuhle fine art photorag paper.
