ARTISTS STATEMENT

Chris Twomey

The post-human future is here. What kind of post-humans shall we be?

Our origins, our self-identity, and the ramifications of genetic discoveries are the themes that drive the imagery of my work.

In this work, the digitization of the image and manipulation of visual data becomes a metaphor for our new ability to manage, control, and change our genomic data.
