About The Artwork
Collage: Paper, Photo and Acrylic on Wood. Only one Made! Mixed Media on Wood Panel. I photographed actress Nicole Pacent in a glam punk outfit, enlarged and xerox the photo and painted her hair with till Acrylic paint just as her hair is in real life. I then painted the wood panel using different techniques including brush, roller, splatters and very slow drippings from the sides, bottom and top. Every drop of color has a reason. In addition I used spray paint in a few ways including the use of silk and lace cloths to make unseen flowers, this work has a lot of details and you need to look and examine it up close to see them all, Just the background work took weeks to complete and I guaranty you will not see all of the details, not on the first time at least. The flowers were printed with a color printer but as gray scale file which produced a very specific shades of gray. The printed flowers were "carelessly" painted in pink and orange Acrylic. This work, as lots of others, is influenced by Rock N' Roll and is about Rock N' Roll, hence the magazine cutouts pasted. Part of more hidden elements - there are 2 skulls and a set of red wings, did you spot those? The artwork is signed on bottom left front. Dated on back.
