About The Artwork
Returning to Baghdad in 2013 after a quarter of century absence, I took a series of photographs which later became the subject of exhibits around the US and a published title "Return to Baghdad: Photographic Impressions of an Expatriate." 2014. A nostalgic photo of a fabled café at the heart of old Baghdad near Mutanabbi street. I chose canvas as a medium and processed the print to resemble a painting to go with a series I titled "Return". Signed 16'x20" w/o 18'x22" Framed
