Please allow about two weeks for the production of the print. _______________________________________ About the series "The Color Codes" When we look at works of art, we mostly do it in way linked to form of the object and our own experiences with the object. This is completely normal and usually desired by the artist. But there are also situations in which this is more of a hindrance. An example: The photographer takes a photo of a tulip, which stands beautifully in the sunlight. There is no doubt that this scenery will arouse quite specific associations in every viewer. Most of us have already seen and "experienced" a tulip, and so we all have our own connection to tulips - good or bad - but always tied to the shape and color of the illustrated. With the series "The Color Codes" I wanted to avoid this very fact, namely that when viewing a photo "habitual" associations are called up with the objects displayed in the photo. The energy of the very moment in which the photo was taken, the energy of the place where the photo was taken, the energy of the object and the wonder of nature itself should speak for themselves. Detached from the usual formal observation and thus detached from the personal experience of the viewer with the photographed objects. In this way, the photo is drawn on a white canvas and not pasted into a previously painted image. This could provide the opportunity to let go for a moment and let the mind rest for a moment. To achieve this, I largely removed the form of the photographed scene - through extreme and distorted macro magnification. The above example is still a photo of a tulip - but without recognizing it at first glance. This way in the "so familiar" something new becomes visible.
