Its natural white, smooth and velvety matt surface, the wonderful feel and the perfect color reproduction make it the perfect basis for long-lasting works of art. A special advantage is its extreme longevity. The aging resistance is due to pure, acid-free paper, which does not require any optical brighteners or other additives used in papers. The paper does not yellow, the prints remain beautiful under normal conditions for a lifetime. The extremely long shelf life is certified according to ISO 9706 (FograCert 28800). -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- All my photos are 'made in camera'. This means that I never use filters or editing software to manipulate my photos. -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- Reprint service My work comes out best when printed on matte cotton paper, and framed without glass. But I am well aware that the prints then are vulnerable to dirt, damage, insect traces, etc., and - except dusting - there are no possibilities to clean them. Have you purchased a Limited edition or One-of-a-kind print from me, directly or via an art website, and has this print become dirty or damaged over time? Then you can rely on the reprint service. Against payment of the cost price and shipping costs, I will send you a new signed print. Of course this print has the same edition number as the print that you bought earlier. When needed, send me a message or e-mail and I will answer with the conditions under which you can use this service.

With my artworks, I hope to tease and stimulate more than just your sight. I want you to sense what I sensed when I made the artwork; the light, the temperature, the atmosphere... sometimes even the scent of a damp autumn forest and the cold of the whirling salty breath of a storm on the beach of the North Sea. In this way I ask you to reflect for a moment on the nature around you, on the beautiful feeling that nature can evoke, on what we will lose if we continue on the path of 'never enough'. My main inspiration is the vulnerability of nature. I see changes in nature. I see the effects of urbanization, the pressure of pollution and of the changes in the climate. I hope to make people aware of that vulnerability by sharing what I feel when I look around me. My work is often described by others as abstract, minimalistic and impressionistic. My style is distinct and pure, and is characterized by soft colors, soft focus and the effects created by how I move my camera during making the photo. I like experimenting and exploring the limits of what the camera can handle. I myself often describe my styles as abstract realism and (surrealistic) impressionism. I mostly work in nature where I immerse myself in the shapes, colors, sounds and stillness of the natural surroundings. My work can be described as the most pure form of fine art photography, since I choose to create the abstract and impressionist effects as seen in my photographs, using only the basic camera settings. Photo software is used only to remove dust or to adjust brightness, contrast and cropping to improve my compositions. I don't manipulate my photos and I don't use digital editing tools or filters. The titles of my photos are an important element of the entire work of art. In addition, I often write a short poem or a few lines of prose to a photo. Born in 1959 in the city of Gouda in The Netherlands, I now live with my wife and dog in a small farmhouse in the Danish Thy region in North West Jutland. In the summer of 2018 my wife and I moved from a larger city in The Netherlands to a small hamlet in the Thy region. We fell in love with this region about ten years ago... We live a simple, minimalistic life, as self sufficient and sustainable as possible, and we love it... My photography has been sold and exhibited in various countries all over the world.
