Fabiolla Loureiro is an emerging contemporary artist based in São Paulo, Brazil, with over 15 years of experience in street and fine art photography. Extensive travel across more than 30 countries has deeply shaped her visual language, granting her the freedom to explore urban environments, cultural nuances, and atmospheric narratives. Drawn to cold nights, noir settings, and rainy seasons, Fabiolla’s work centers on black and white photography, marked by strong contrasts, blurred silhouettes, symmetry, and evocative, melancholic scenes. Her images explore urban solitude, movement, and the quiet tension between chaos and stillness. Her practice is influenced by photographers such as Daido Moriyama, Robert Capa, Brassaï, Saul Leiter, and Sabine Weiss, while maintaining a distinctly personal and contemporary voice. Her artistic journey began with three solo exhibitions in São Paulo in 2016. Over the past years, her work has been exhibited internationally in cities including London, Bologna, Madrid, and Paris, consolidating her presence in the contemporary art scene. In parallel, she has developed editorial and written projects connected to travel and photography, expanding her practice beyond image-making. Largely self-taught, Fabiolla briefly studied at Focus Photography in São Paulo and considers her artistic development primarily autodidactic. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Artist of the Year Award from the Circle Foundation for the Arts in Lyon and the Excellence Award from Trevisan International Art in Bologna (2018/2019). Fabiolla Loureiro’s work is held in private collections across the United States, Germany, Brazil, Japan, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
