Caldorado II b/w Photograph - Limited Edition of 15

A '59 Cadillac Coupe De Ville parked in an industrial part of Oceanside, CA. What struck me about the scene was the geometry of the horizontal lines offset by the palm tree and its shadow. Equally, the "rockabillied" exterior of the Cadillac stands in contrast to the strict geometry. Late fifties Cadillacs are undoubtedly the epitome of automotive Americana with the palm tree representing California. There is a certain grace in this aged representative of the American dream of the 50s.
