About The Artwork

The desert dwelling Afar people transport salt on their camels through the hottest place on earth. Known to scientists as a Super Plumb, molten lava from the centre of the earth is forcing its way to the surface splitting the land above causing the Danakil Depression to sink. They believe the Depressing will be flooded by the Red Sea while the Super Plumb will cause Africa to split up. The Danakil Depression, Ethiopia, Africa.
