Casus Nietzsche series. The Gay Science. In the “Gay Science” for the first time the words of Nietzsche “God is dead” were said. With these words, the man goes beyond the religious innocence and can no longer simply rely on the divine Scriptures as on something independent of him/her. Our hero realizes the thesis of the death of God, but not really knows how to come to terms with it. What about the eternal rules, compliance with which ensures heaven? How to behave in the absence of immutable landmarks? Who we are and how we live? The unstable position of the model, balancing on the shoe’s point, is a visual reflection of the question of how to maintain balance in the world of no equilibrium where there is no support and no hope anymore. Models’ hands are spread and bent at the elbows, the position of the body as in a strange dance, but face serious and his eyes looking up, as if the model meekly asks about something. We gave the model funny tall hat with a tassel and yellow trousers with chamomile pattern, but where does the diamond road of his fate lead? He pushes the colored rectangles as heavy leaf gates, behind which can be seen beautiful and perfect circles of heavenly bodies, but cold and desolated this world. Omar Khayyam, an ironic Persian sage and a great poet, a lover of wine and women, would be our role model. With his knowledge of the impermanence of life, understanding of the hollowness of all momentary pleasures, worthlessness of all restrictions, with his bright talent and mind, and conscious of the limitations imposed by time and life. He could drink wine and love beautiful women, laugh on hypocritical and sanctimonious ones, and, deep in the heart, cry of false hopes, grown of our youth and destructed by our old age. When it comes to the wisdom and vision of horizons, understanding of ones limitations nullifies all the discovering. While we are young, we do not know that our god lives and breathes in us. As we age, the traces of his presence die in us, and evidence of his death poisons our brain. All we can do is to continue to have fun, as if we still felt his breath on us, but our heart stops with the pain of loneliness, in the midst of joy, when we remember the lie. Everyone can press the camera's shutter button and take a picture, but does that mean that now we are able to better express our view on the world? Although it is assumed that the photo can correctly display three-dimensional world, it can not, and every photographer knows that the point of shooting, along with lighting, determines how the photo will look. Simple changing of focus' depth changes perception. The point of view travelling in three dimensions gives a lot of possibilities from which some one only realizes in a photograph. Throughout its history, painting has developed a lot of two-dimensional illusion of three-dimensionality, but none of them is not final. You can always go beyond what was suggested yesterday. Plane has its own graphic will and its demands to the painting. We are moving from photography to painting, developing new parallel ways of understanding the three-dimensional world in applying it onto a two-dimensional surface. Artistic field that we study is how to conclude a photographic image within the two-dimensional pictorial object. We consider photography as a starting point and premise work to change perceptions. Photography is only a starting point for changing the spatial structures which break down into simple planar components and then continue to change under the influence of different visual techniques. http://sophievital.wordpress.com/
