This artwork belongs to my "Light, Space and Moment" series of architecture photography. This topic accompanies me for a very long time. And still today it is very interesting to me. Every moment is unique. It is defined by a specific surrounding space, the time of day and the respective lighting. A photograph can only reflect a very restricted section of this unique moment. In an abstract way it will stay open in significance and meaning. Thus it can touch all people´s minds in the world. I always prefer to use low-cost and every day equipment for photography, such as ordinary mobile phone cameras. The photographic process to me is democratic and documentary. The motive itself is irretrievable and unique. It should by chance reflect one single view in a billion possible views from other people at the same time. Colour is reduced to certain shades or completely omitted using black and white settings to purify the statement and to stay understandable. For this series I use digital and analogue photography in technologically simple settings. Often I do not force the final look of the picture and use the element of chance. Therefore the final results can be experimental and unforeseen. According to this concept the image can intentionally contain artifacts from digital image compression. The photograph was taken on August 17th, 2019 at 15:07 local time at Centre Le Corbusier / Museum Heidi Weber at Lake Zurich. The artwork is as a high quality digital print on photo paper. It is hand signed and dated by me on the back.
