Born on February 1, 1966, in Syracuse, the "City of Light," Emanuele Vitale is a conceptual and underwater photographer who lives and works in his hometown. Nicknamed "Neptune" for his deep connection with the sea, his art is profoundly rooted in the aquatic dimension, where he explores light, movement, and the evocative nature of the underwater world. After completing his studies in the humanities, he discovered photography in 2003 and developed an artistic approach that merges technique with his passion for the sea. As a freelance photographer and diving instructor, he runs a Diving Center affiliated with FIPSAS (Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities), where he combines teaching diving techniques with promoting underwater photographic art. His work is strongly conceptual, as evident in projects such as "Ascetic," "Yin and Yang," "Anapo," and "Ciane," where he explores themes of balance, transformation, and the deep connection between nature and human perception. Through his photography, he seeks to transcend mere representation, offering a vision that is both introspective and symbolic. He served as the artistic director of the International Underwater Photography Competition "City of Trieste" for several editions and collaborates with educational institutions to spread awareness of marine culture and conceptual photography among young students. Since 2011, he has participated in numerous national and international artistic events dedicated to underwater photography, earning awards and recognition for his unique and visionary approach. On Saatchi Art, Emanuele Vitale showcases works that transform the underwater world into pure artistic expression, capturing the magic of light and the essence of the ocean in images that go beyond mere documentation.
