Commuter Quilt Photograph - Limited Edition of 2

"Commuter Quilt" arose out of my frustration with the rush hour traffic on the I-10 through downtown LA. Over the course of a summer, I shot traffic at its worst. Later, I used the "Flying Geese" quilt pattern as my template for assembling the photos. I created the photomontage in Photoshop. The triangles pointing to the right were shot eastbound in the morning. those pointing left were westbound in the evening. I chose to print on vinyl to reference the street banners so prevalent on the city streets. This is the repetition of the daily commute, distilled and fractured. Note: the printing on vinyl is lighter than the digital file. Will provide a comparison photo soon. Included is a wooden hanging rod and large nails.
