ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I took this photograph on Maracaipe beach in Pernambuco, Brazil. Looking closely at the image, I was inspired to do a digital manipulation work on it. I let myself be led by my intuition and began to do a job that required several overlapping images, each with its own characteristics and shapes. Basically, it's as if the sea is being observed through a drawn glass. When I finished the artwork, I noticed in it the influence of art deco and the simultaneous movement, but with a totally contemporary technique. For art collectors looking for something related to the sea, I make this artwork available here, for sale.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
