About The Artwork
Concrete is aged beauty, battered and bathed by Mother Nature and transformed by human nature. In the series, Concrete Landscape, I seek to find brutal beauty which lies beneath our feet, supports the structures where we dwell. My intention is to spotlight the earth we’ve covered with pavement, the streets we’ve lined with walled structures. Reinventing the beauty lost by its. Letting light play tricks on the crude and stained, making it shine through with optimism and relentless silver linings. Untamed. Unapologetic. Poetic and complicated. Finding beauty in what some may find unexpected, unpredictable even unattractive spaces is a natural draw for me.
