From "One Day on Mars" series. Unique "one-off" print copy , limited edition "1/1" When creating this photo series, I was inspired by the natural, and at the same time very unusual, «cosmic» landscape of the Kuyalnik estuary in Ukraine. The pond looks extraordinary at night and there is a feeling that you are on another planet. My task was to convey this image to the viewer by the simplest way of photography, practically without the use of photomontage technique. Most of the work were taken at night on the unique pond of Odessa region — Kuyalnik estuary. The series was awarded by numerous awards at international photo contests. In order to create the atmosphere of an ancient artifact found, I burned the edges of the prints with fire and placed it on a background made up of scraps of one of the first maps of Mars by Flammarion and Antoniadi, drawn in the 1910s. The print is deliberately fixed not perpendicular to the background to break the sense of reality UNIQUENESS: This print was created in 2014 and exists only in a single copy. It was this particular print that was exhibited at 3 print exhibitions, including the Museum exhibition (Parkhomovka, Ukraine). Please note that due to old age, exhibiting and the conceptual method of mounting, transportation, the substrate of the print may have holes and traces of mounting on the back. The surface of the picture may have slight natural scratches, smudges and fingerprints. Please take it as an advantage as it makes the story of this unique photograph. ACHIEVEMENTS: The series "One Day on Mars" was awarded by numerous awards in the international photo contests. The photos from this project was exhibited on printed exhibitions in London (United Kingdom), Science and Industry Museum (Manchester, UK) Lviv, Kiev, Kharkov region (Ukraine), Roma (Italy), Wuhan (China), Kolkata (India). MEDIUM: Archival photographic paper with hand-burnt edges fixed on a plain paper background with a map of Mars. Please note that due to old age, exhibiting and the conceptual method of mounting, transportation, the substrate of the print may have holes and traces of mounting on the back. The surface of the picture may have slight natural scratches, smudges and fingerprints which do not affect the perception of photography. Please take it as an advantage as it makes the story of this unique photograph. PS. This artwork was created with passion. Accompanied by the certificate of authenticity.
