About The Artwork

Taken in Richmond Park, London. I found the crows to be very interesting against the whiteness of the snow. The way they fly and the way look for food. My images are printed using archival quality, Fine Art Trade Guild approved printers, inks and papers. Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm. 20" x 20" - Paper size, 18" x 18" - Print size - Edition of 2/25 My final print will be titled, numbered and signed. To accompany my Giclée print, I provide a printed Certificate of Authenticity. Many thanks, William J Blake.

William Joseph Blake is an Irish artist who moved to London as a child with his father and sister. He spent his early years in County Wexford, in a charming seaside village called Riverchapel. He enjoyed exploring, and this has played an important role in shaping his appreciation of the natural world. He finds starting a project is occasionally hard, namely the decision on what to paint or draw. Whether landscape, portrait, abstract, collage or still life, all can be achieved! When he starts a project, he often looks at photographs he has taken, uses the internet, reads books or just sketches. He also finds, even setting up the room can be challenging. Art requires a great deal of attention, demanding space and a sense of peace to be inspired by. Music is often pure inspiration, allowing him to relax and focus. He also finds getting away from the usual environment helps a great deal. William has also just released his first children's book called Billie's Day Out. The story is about a witch called Billie and her friends. Unfortunately, there are some bad witches who meet them. William likes to create and has also got six ambient albums out. William likes to go through the art process, the meaning of thought and the process of creating.
