DURANGO (Limited edition of 5) In this interpreted piece, the hot horizon sizzles in a glorious haze across the imagined Mexican desert leading to Durango. MY APPROACH to photography is through the eyes of a painter – a field in which I am formally trained. I use simple hand-held cameras and available light only. Process: Museum-quality archival pigment (giclée) printed on premium Epson Velvet Fine Art paper. This thick and luxurious paper absorbs the pigment inks beautifully to provide color-retention that will last for 100 years or more. Finish: A 2-inch white border is provided on all four sides to allow for framing without a mat. Wider borders are available upon request. Each limited-edition print is signed, dated and numbered. SIZE OPTIONS: Smaller or larger prints are available. Please CONTACT me with your personal requirements: email@example.com

I was born and raised in England and studied Fine Art & Design before moving to California in my mid-twenties. An offer to create children's picture books led to writing and designing over 300 novelty, activity and pop-up books for major clients, including Random House, Disney, Scholastic, Warner Brothers and Marvel. Although I painted during those years, my love of photography grew and my photographs have appeared in many publications. Following extended periods in Mexico, two years in Provence and cabin life high in the Rocky Mountains, I now live in Los Angeles. My travels have influenced my use of vibrant colours and textures and my training and practice as a fine artist add painterly qualities to my photographs - which are as diverse as my experiences yet have a common thread. I see whimsical, often wry images in most of the pieces I create and I title my works accordingly, but in the end, it’s each person’s own interpretation that matters and I encourage everyone to see whatever pleases them. I use simple, hand-held cameras and available light only. No tricky lenses, no Photoshop, no cut and paste. I work meticulously in the refining process to make each work unique, meaningful and a pleasure for people to own.
