About The Artwork

A work from the project "365". This involved painting one work every day for the length of a year. There was no subject, style or technical restriction, apart from size. All works were 20x20 or 20x25. It was a kind of personal visual diary, putting into practice the quote attributed to the famous ancient Greek painter Apelles: "Not a day without a line". The project was also an effort to come to terms with the idea of personal style and how this evolves. The series was exhibited in Athens in 2013, and now some of the works are for sale on their own. This particular piece is the work for the 362nd day of the project and shows a detail from a ruined peeling wall. It is a photograph printed as a single giclee print on paper mounted on wood panel.Unframed but ready to hang.
