Born in Italy, I began drawing before I could write and embarked on solo travels abroad as a teenager. Later on, my time living in France, Argentina, and Portugal profoundly shaped my artistic journey. Now based in Mijas, a picturesque pueblo blanco on Spain's southern coast, I find inspiration in the stark beauty of the dry mountains and the vivid blues of the Mediterranean landscape stretching to the nearby Moroccan mountains. My artistic journey has been shaped by diverse learning experiences, including ancient painting restoration in Italy, sculpting in France, illustration in Argentina and Barcelona, and analog photography in Madrid. I opened my first artist studio in Cadaqués in 2009, followed by an artist residency at 59Rivoli in Paris and at Nauart Espai de Creació in Barcelona. In Barcelona, I expanded my work to include artistic and humanitarian initiatives in favour of migrants, collaborating with the City Council and NGOs like Doctors of the World. This experience ignited my interest in art therapy, leading me to specialize in supporting unaccompanied minors migrants at Casa Árabe in Madrid. My commitment to helping vulnerable communities through art stems from a belief in its power to heal emotional wounds and alleviate inner suffering and distress. My journeys through the physical landscape parallel an inner, spiritual exploration of the self. Living near the borderlands of Africa, I feel a deep resonance with a space that functions as both a crossroads and a meeting point of diverse cultures. This connection continually draws me back to themes that have long captivated me: the intertwining physical and spiritual quests symbolized by the erratic lives of gypsies, wanderers, and pilgrims—all driven by a restless pursuit of an ever-elusive destination. Central to this journey are the concepts of memory, roots, and a profound connection to the spiritual realm.
