Born and raised in Northern California, I discovered my passion for photography at the age of 13 when my father gave me my first camera and built a darkroom in our basement. That early gift sparked a lifelong pursuit that continues to shape my work today. I began my professional career in Los Angeles, photographing for the music and film industries before moving to New York City, where I created cover art for major publishing houses. In 2010, my photography book RIPE: The Essence of the Pregnant Nude was published and received international recognition, earning honors from the International Photography Awards (IPA), including Professional Photographer of the Year, and the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) for Fine Art Book. In recent years, my practice has centered on personal projects that explore memory, transformation, and the passage of time. BETTER DAYS documents the historic farms and ranches of Point Reyes National Seashore, preserving landscapes shaped by generations of stewardship. BEAUTIFUL ARTIFACTS examines discarded wedding gowns discovered in garage sales and thrift stores, revealing the quiet histories embedded within these once-cherished garments. My most recent collections, GAUDI and FLOTSAM & JETSAM, investigate the visual rhythms that emerge through the convergence of shape, texture, and pattern found in both natural and urban environments, inviting viewers to discover beauty in unexpected places.
