Antonio de Campos is a Brazilian-born artist and architect based in Frankfurt, Germany. His work explores the intersection of art, architecture and image-making through space, light, movement and shifting perception.
For more than a decade, de Campos worked in close creative collaboration with Zaha Hadid and Zaha Hadid Architects, contributing to drawings, paintings, reliefs and visual concepts. This experience profoundly shaped the spatial language that continues through his independent artistic practice.
Combining photographic, analogue and digital processes, his work moves between abstraction and recognition through layering, fragmentation and transformations of architectural space. A selected body of photographic work is produced as signed, numbered limited editions on museum-quality paper, conceived both as individual works and in dialogue with architectural environments.
In 2022, the Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) in Frankfurt presented his solo exhibition Antonio de Campos – Concepts for Zaha Hadid. His work has also been exhibited at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, MAK Vienna, Design Museum London and Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery.
