ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Back alley in Newcastle in the late 70's. Could be any city today, walk round the back of any restaurant and they are always the same. Loved the dirty/sexyness of it when I first saw it but was utterly delighted with the transmogrification into Black and white and it prints so well digitally on Canson Photographique Baryta 310 gsm paper using the highest quality archival inks. Paper size 32.9cm x 48.3cm. Image size is 28.3cm. x 45cm. Signed, numbered, titled and dated on verso. Sent with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Born in 1955 in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and could not wait to get away. Spent time after finishing an ignominious school career in Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan Pakistan, India and Nepal. Then studied Photography at Sheffield Poly, starting in 1979. Did Teacher Training and taught for 1 year at a school in North London which was more than enough. Subsequently worked for Warner Brothers in a non photographic capacity and the BBC both Teaching and Photographing. I have recently returned to working with traditional, wet processes alongside digital. The images in my portfolio start in the 70's and go through to the present day.
