This photo was taken on the Baltic Sea, in the Słowiński National Park in Poland where you can admire 'moving dunes'. After I had frozen the frame I remembered the poem by Robert Frost titled 'Sand Dunes', which I find amazingly complementary to the scene. Enjoy!

Sand Dunes by Robert Frost

Sea waves are green and wet,
But up from where they die,
Rise others vaster yet,
And those are brown and dry.

They are the sea made land
To come at the fisher town,
And bury in solid sand
The men she could not drown.

She may know cove and cape,
But she does not know mankind
If by any change of shape,
She hopes to cut off mind.

Men left her a ship to sink:
They can leave her a hut as well;
And be but more free to think
For the one more cast-off shell.

" I don't have a philosophy, I have a camera." Beata Podwysocka (AFRP, AFIAP) was born in Olsztyn, Poland. She has been always receptive to modern art, especially abstract, surrealist, hyperrealistic and minimalist forms, which is very often reflected in her works. The artist explores the surrounding world in search of scraps and patches of ordinary objects and situations in order to frame them as appealing self-existing entities. She uses her camera in the same way as a quilt maker so that she can match and sew together the pieces of fabric-like glimpses, surfaces, textures, patterns and colours. Since 2010 the artist has been actively and successfully participating in photographic competitions both nationally and internationally. Her works have been displayed at three solo exhibitions and several group shows as well as post-contest exhibitions frequently accompanied with printed catalogues. Her works are held in private collections in Poland, the UK, France, Denmark and the USA. She is a creative photographer, Fellow of the Polish Republic’s Photoclub, a holder of the AFRP title. In July 2015, she obtained the distinction ‘Artist FIAP’ (AFIAP) awarded by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
