About The Artwork
No. 1 of a limited edition of 5, personally signed and certified Houten, the Netherlands. A bright Saturday afternoon in Holland and the light was just perfect! It only required some patience for the wind to calm down (so the reflections appeared), a fisherman in his motorboat to move away from the scene and some swans and ducks to swim over to the houses... And I was lucky to capture the moment. Limited edition photographic print on high quality paper behind plexiglass (Diasec). The plexiglass provides remarkable depth and brilliance to the art work. For extra stability it has an aluminum Dibond base and it comes with an aluminum frame for direct wall mount. Different size or finish? I am a photographing artist based in The Netherlands. In 1990 I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg specializing in photography, painting and drawing. Since the development of digital photography my camera and computer have become my main tools for creation. Because of my fascination with patterns, music scores, systems of writing and other graphic structures, my work always has been inhabited by geometric shapes, lines and rhythm. My current passion is the abstract beauty of architecture. Through my photographic compositions I hope to inspire and touch people's souls.
