Eight: Salmon trout (from the AC11 series) - Limited Edition 3 of 5 Photograph

The Advent calendar 2011 is a free work about food. Personal stills and interpretations. Food portraits. A complete three course christmas dinner, originally posted digitally as a portfolio show case on my website, and later exhibited analogue in numerous shows. In contrast to the sharpness, brightness and colorfulness of the images as well as the speed and noise of daily life, I decided to exhibit them in a small format on strong high quality pearl paper to invite the viewer to take a closer look, get in contact with the image and discover its details. The photos are exhibited in old school Passepartouts and hand made wooden frames to transport some warmth into the winter chill. Day eight portraits a salmon trout. Freshly fished and straight from the hook; grilled over gas, as a filet or steak. It is the opening motive for the main course of the series. The series consists of 21 food and drinks motives.
