Ethiopia7 - Limited Edition of 10 Photograph

In 2018 I had the unique opportunity to travel to Ethiopia with my friend Donna Karan. We travelled by helicopter around the country to visit the Hamar and Mursi people who lived in and around the Sudanese border. Few of the villages we visited had roads to get to them, making these cultures virtually untouched by outside cultural influences for centuries. The unique traditions like the use of face paint and scarification are just a few celebrated moments highlighted in these highly saturated and detailed portraits. These pieces were originally displayed in a show at Urban Zen in 2019 and 3 of them have become part of the Urban Zen permanent collection.
