CRA16 - Series from CRAVE - Limited Edition of 5 Photograph

I'm Burak Bulut Yıldırım — photographer and educator based in Berlin, working internationally. My journey began in Istanbul as an arts journalist, but photography became my true language. Since opening my first studio in 2005, I have worked with international brands, directed creative teams, and mentored over 5,000 photography students. My practice spans intimate portraiture, performative photography, and fine art nude work. Across ongoing series—Chimera, Antemortem, Ecotone, Melancholia, Motus, Elsewhere, Crave, Niche, Lucida, and UnNude—I explore the body as landscape, architecture, and emotional threshold. I work primarily in-camera: the distortions come from physical mirrors, the blur from long exposures, the transformations from ultraviolet light and painted pigment rather than post-production. Each series opens a different door into the fragile intersections of body, identity, and light. From 2018 to 2026, I served as a Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador. I am a member of the German Portrait Photography Society (BPP) and hold an IGBK International Artist Card, facilitating my professional mobility and recognition as a visual artist across borders. My work has been exhibited across Europe, including solo presentations in Germany and Greece. I do not pursue provocation—I pursue resonance. These photographs are not records of bodies; they are encounters that continue to unfold in the viewer's memory.
