About The Artwork
Photography: Color, Digital, Photo on Paper. The trek to Mount Everest Base Camp requires at least a week of hiking at high elevation before reaching the base of the peak at 18,000 feet. Each year, thousands of travelers make the trip in the spring and fall, spending up to a week or more trekking through the famous Khumbu Valley. This image of the peak of Everest was captured alongside the trail past the village of Gorokshep, a village only occupied part of the year due to the severity of the winters.
