ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Extensions' involves the merging of my model's hair with the grassy hillside, by means of a braid. For this piece, I drew from my personal relationship with my own long hair, my relationship with this particular landscape, and my desire to be physically connected to the earth. I was attempting to describe the deep connection I feel with the natural world. But more than that, I was attempting to describe the unbreakable bond between us.
