About The Artwork

Technique: Polaroid Image Lift on Giclee Print (Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm 100% cotton). This Fine Art Print is the first of the limited edition of five (5) prints signed by the artist at the back of the work. The certificate of authenticity with hologram is included. The artwork comes in a black, wooden frame (2cm wide) with nonreflective plexiglass. Facelift presents an experimental perception of beauty. Questioning the contemporary canon of beauty, the Polaroid portrait has been heated, stretched and re-shaped.

We are a creative duo working with analogue photography and mixed media. Nigel Tribbeck - born in London, spent the first 6 years of his life in Accra Ghana, where he visited regularly for many years. Nigel began his photographic career as a sport's photographer for local newspapers before establishing his own photography studio. He spent the following years expanding his practice and acquiring further qualifications, experimenting with alternative process. Having won over twenty awards in photography and printing (Agfa Portrait Photographer of the Year, FUJI Print of The Year, BIPP International Photographer of The Year), Nigel has won critical acclaim for his mixed media work and has established himself as one of the UK's leading creative photographers. Nigel is a member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP) and the Royal Photographic Society. Nigel is passionate about analogue photography and alternative print processes. He uses darkroom techniques to transform and manipulate his work. Justyna Mysior - born in Poland, graduated from University of The Arts London. From an early age she has been drawn to the visual and performing arts. While working in London, she carried out projects in the field of fashion, interior design and photography. In her work, Justyna shows symbolic interpretation of the world expressed by movement, colour and space arrangement. She concentrates on specific details and tries to identify unique qualities by finding similarities in things that initially seems completely opposed. She is passionate about the creation and development of a concept.
