About The Artwork
"Family" is an exploration of the deep bonds that unite us as a unit. It highlights the importance of teamwork and empathy as the foundation for cultivating respect, unity, and love. The image is inspired by the vital role that family plays in shaping who we are and the world around us. The shells symbolise the connections and bonds of family, evoking memories of my childhood spent near the sea and also the idea that each human being is unique. The process of capturing this image involved a delicate balance of real objects in an ephemeral composition to capture the essence of unity. --------- Archival Photographic Print. Gabriela Villalba is an Australian-Venezuelan photographer dedicated to documentary portraiture, behind-the-scenes, and artistic photography. Gabby has dedicated herself to documenting creative processes and artists, particularly from the cultural scene in Sydney's Northern Beaches.
