Find the Dancer - SOLD Photograph - Limited Edition of 1

Place to me is somewhere that makes you feel like you are a part of its landscape. It is an area where I am comforted by the surroundings, and simultaneously excited by its aesthetic. I chose New York City because its industrial, urban style is attractive to me. The concrete palace is injected with opportunity and experience everywhere, at any moment. The road in my collage is made from a picture of stained glass that I photographed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This was the choice of the street's medium because stained glass is so vibrant and rich when the sun passes through the glass. The city streets emit that same vibrancy. The building is another photograph I captured when I visited NYC. The background is a picture I took of my favorite Desigual mural that I have seen on the city's walls. I kept its color to accent its striking hues and pattern against the black and white foreground. There are also three ballet poses placed in the image that my friend took of me. Ballet is extremely important in my life, and it is a moving art that is expressive through the body's lines and forms happiness in me whenever I dance. The movement and expression of ballet dancers amazes me.
