About The Artwork
From my first Bodyparts series shot in 1998. I used black and white E-6 (positive) 35 mm. film and printed on traditional black and white silver gelatin paper, in a traditional darkroom with chemical process. Because I used a "positive" as a negative for printing, the shadows inverted to white with an impression of light and the skin took on a metallic tone. The price reflects the lost art of traditional dark room printing. Only 4 prints were made in 2001 and this one last print remains.
