About The Artwork

One thing I love about Biei is its iconic trees, that stand alone in the snow. But there is another type of scene I love, and it is when group of trees form small forests in the middle of nowhere, like in this image. The black trees can be so close to each other that they look like one huge wall, or some kind of animal from another era. Most of the times minimalism in photography is about focusing on a single element in the landscape, but other times can very well be about making lots of elements work together as one. It might be more difficult, but it can be very rewarding. The original is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin 310 gsm 100% Cotton white satin-finish paper and manually signed.
