Fountain at City Hall 1b15e5 is an impressionistic rendering of the fountain in City Hall Park in lower Manhattan, New York. The fountain, designed and cast in 1872 by Jacob Wray Mould is done in the classical style and is made of bronze; the pool surrounding it is made of unpolished granite stone and actually looks quite drab and is quite dirty from time, having not been cleaned recently. But because I found the fountain so elegant, I decided to attempt to visually restore its elegance, increasing contrast markedly to render the stone almost white except in the shadows. In this version, I sharply reduced color saturation to yield an almost sepia tone to enhance its historic feeling. I am offering this version in 2 ADDITIONAL SIZES -- 21.3” H x 30” W at $1500.
