Luc lives and creates mostly between New York and Europe. His work celebrates timeless, everyday moments. Versatile in both color and black and white, he often chooses the latter for his documentary and street work, seeing monochrome as a more powerful tool of expression. An avid traveller who is constantly on the road, he likes to merge his favorite genres of photography, moving freely between documentary, portraiture, travel and street photography. Luc's photographs reach into every neighborhood in the city and every hour on the clock, finding New Yorkers as they go about their business and play out their emotional lives in the streets, from wild romantic connections to piercing loneliness. Kordas’ pictures capture New York; its people; and the sometimes euphoric, sometimes grinding friction between the two that makes the city the world’s biggest improv stage. - Bill Shapiro, former Editor-in-Chief of LIFE magazine.
