Anna Lilleengen is a visual artist, working primarily with the medium of photography. Based between North Yorkshire and Scandinavia, she employs traditional and experimental dark room techniques to create a distinctive physical practice, that is enhanced by her use of an assortment of vintage cameras: most notably an 1870s plate camera and a 1930s Zeiss Ikon. She gained an MA in Image and Time Based Media with Distinction from the Harrogate School of Art and Design in 2012 and has since won the Vantage Art Prize, been shortlisted for the Aesthetica Art Prize and held then had more than 20 exhibitions of her work in the UK and abroad.
