Gridlock - Limited Edition of 30 Photograph

Walking a city is one of my favorite things to do. Here I am strolling through downtown Los Angeles on a sunny day in fall. There was this tightly woven fence and as I got close to it with my iPhone, the view into the street scene became veiled in an interesting way. Grid, geometry, pattern was what i saw and across it the bus moving, the building with its own geometry and grey color blending oddly into the concrete whilst the bus stood out and everything else was just a blur. I love creating an unexpected image out of an everyday urban scene. Dye sublimation print on aluminum seemed a logic choice for this photograph.
