ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is one of a series of images commissioned for The Face Magazine with hairstylist Alain Pichon. We wanted the hair to act as mere adornment, rather as art in itself. I decided to shoot the models separately on a 5X4 inch plate film camera. I then printed the choices on 20x24 inch paper, these were then re-photographed lying on the studio floor with Alain's hair creations on top thus creating a 3-D effect.
